THE COMPANY
Frantzis Shipyards in Perama, in the Southeastern zone, have been established since 1997 and are a reliable choice for shipbuilding services in the area. The facility covers a total area of 10,000 square meters, with 800 square meters of buildings that include five shipbuilding berths. It serves ships up to 100 meters in length and provides all the necessary services at a high level, while maintaining competitive costs. The professional philosophy and continuous development make Frantzis Shipyards the ideal choice for any maritime need.
Frantzis Shipyards emerged from the merger of the historic “Koronaio” and “Boumi” Shipyards in 1997 when the current owner, Mr. Georgios Frantzis, acquired them during a period of uncertainty for the Perama ship repair zone. With foresight and after significant effort, strategic investments, and continuous upgrades to the facilities, the shipyards were modernized and evolved into one of the most reliable units in the industry.
As part of the ongoing development, the management has already initiated an ambitious expansion of the pier, which will allow the servicing of ships up to 200 meters in length, further strengthening the shipyard’s capacity. Meanwhile, the entry of Mr. Frantzis’ sons, Panagiotis and Orfeas, into the management team marks a new era for the business, ensuring the continuity and sustainable development of the shipyard in the future.
